|Brief Detail:||Looking for an individual with experience in pain management to assist in starting up a new pain practice in Ft Worth. The type of care will focus primarily on acute pain conditions and limited interventional techniques (ESIs). Part-time position requiring 2 full clinic days per week initially with opportunity for additional days as needs arise from practice growth. Primary location will be a clinic in the Ft Worth area but may require travel to other sites as needs dictate. Individual will need to be able to work autonomously with MD guidance as needed. Evaluate patients for acute pain syndromes primarily involving the spine and other joints by obtaining history and performing physical exam autonomously at the clinic site without MD on site. Order all medically necessary tests and diagnostic studies to assist in diagnosis of pain syndromes. Formulate comprehensive treatment plans including both non interventional (PT, medications, and patient education) and interventional modalities (ESI, Trigger Point). Prescribe both non opioid and opioid medications as needed. Perform minor office based procedures such as trigger point injections as needed. Schedule patients needing interventional pain procedures at office based facility and discussing these treatment options with the patient including indications and risks.|
Follow up post procedure visits and evaluation of treatment plan effectiveness. Refer complex pain patients to appropriate consultants for additional care.
