New Balloon Device Effective in Treating Breast Cancer
A new balloon device is used to give radiation treatment to breast cancer patients. It is more concentrated, and allows the patient to be treated twice a day for 5 days - much shorter than typical treatments that are once a day, 5 days a week for 6 weeks. The procedure is just as effective. Doctors at Sister's Hospital in Buffalo were the first in Western New York to use this new device.
