Obama Discusses Necessity of Reducing Medical Malpractice Claims
Today, Obama discussed at the American Medical Association meeting the importance of limiting the amount of unnecessary tests and procedures that are performed to reduce the risk of malpractice claims for health care reform. However, this might restrict malpractice liability that protects doctors. Obama also stated that in order to reform health care, the focus must be changed from the quantity of treatment to the quality of care, allowing doctors to concentrate on curing patients and not worrying about payment off the amount of tests.
