Flu Vaccination Required for NY Healthcare Workers
The NY State Health Department has a new regulation requiring healthcare workers at hospitals, home health care agencies, and hospice care to be vaccinated for the flu. It is not required in nursing homes. Although the flu vaccination had previously been voluntary, it is now required to have the vaccination against seasonal flu and the H1N1 virus, since the swine flu is predicted to return this fall.
