USC Receives Largest Singe Gift in Piedmont's History
Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill has given $1 million to the University of South Carolina Nursing program. This is the largest single gift in Piedmont's history. The money will be used to fund faculty positions. The University's College of Nursing in Columbia, USC-Lancaster and Piedmont will serve students in Upstate South Carolina. It is predicted that the number of students within the next two years will increase to 16. They are hoping to increase the number of nurses in York, Chester, Lancaster, Kershaw, and Fairfield counties.
