SUNYIT Nursing Students and Faculty to Provide Care in Brazil
15 student nurses will travel with faculty members of SUNYIT for a trip to Canuma, Brazil in March. They will provide basic medical care and teach villages residents how to provide the same care. This area was picked due to it currently being in serious need with the movement to force the indigenous people out of the amazon region so they get very little services. The school hopes to have another group travel to the area again in the near future.
