Latest Medical Training Technology Robot Exhibits Numerous Benefits
One of the latest medical training technologies includes a robot, named SimMan, that offers extra experience to students by being able to stimulate almost any clinical situation. SimMan breathes, talks, and has a pulse. He can exhibit the symptoms of numerous illnesses, allergic reactions, cardiac arrest, respiratory failure, and more - he even needs a sponge bath. This medical training creation allows students to learn in a safe environment as well as helping students build their confidence level. How does SimMan work? The lab instructor can command him to have a variety of symptoms and reactions using a laptop computer. Most schools have one year for the full use of SimMan; however, in September, the patient simulator is now included in all clinical nursing courses.
