Lake Norman Regional Medical Center Welcomes Volunteers
The Ortho/Neuro/Spine and Surgical units at Lake Norman Regional Medical Center has caused an even greater need for volunteer auxiliary. There are currently 125 volunteers, but it needs more. Volunteers are involved with staffing desks and operating the gift shop, as well as visiting patients daily offering books or magazines. They also can file records and type data into computers. The typical requirement is four hours one day a week. There are usually around 30 volunteers a day. There are many retirees that are volunteers, but there are also a lot of younger people who are volunteering as well. If you are interested in meeting people and serving the community, you can pick up an application form at the visitors desk or call volunteer services at 704-660-4112.
