Nursing Provides Positive Outlook on Employment
More nursing jobs will be created in the next decade than in any other single profession. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, nearly 600,000 new jobs for registered nurses will be created by 2018. An entry-level registered nurse job can be obtained with just three years of college, and you can usually work any hours you want. The median wage for a registered nurse is $62,450, making it one of the highest wage-earning professions. On the downside, you have to deal with some difficult patients, which can be physically and emotionally draining. Not to mention that you also have to work night shifts and holidays. Based on numbers, a career in nursing is a pretty good choice.
