Lawsuit Filed Regarding Mandatory Flu Vaccine for Nurses
In Washington, a union representing 16,000 filed a lawsuit again MultiCare Health System for requiring the nurses at Tacoma General and Good Samaritan hospitals to get a flu vaccination. The union is in support of a voluntary vaccination program. However, if there were a mandatory policy, they feel it should be overseen by the state or federal government. It was not until after the union had began negotiating a flu prevention program that they learned that Multicare had already implemented a mandatory vaccination policy.
