U.S. Surgical Mask Manufacturers are a Buzzing Business
With surgical masks used primarily in hospitals, the demand has dramatically increased with the new need from consumers due to the swine flu. Manufacturing facilities of these masks are buzzing due to the World Health Organization and national governments confirming cases of swine flu in at least 11 countries and orders for masks are coming in from around the world. Most surgical masks are made in Mexico and China, but hopefully this high demand will be a wake-up call that will help increase the amount of American manufacturers of surgical masks.
