US Announces Human Trials For H1N1 Vaccine
The United States will begin human trials for the H1N1 flu vaccine in early August. The clinical trials will include as many as 1,000 adults and children.The University of Maryland School of Medicine will lead the trials. They hope to have the vaccine ready for use by October, before flu season. H1N1, also know as swine flu, has been declared a global pandemic by the World Health Organization. The vaccine has only been tested in animals and has been effective.
