Tanning Beds as Deadly as Arsenic or Mustard Gas?
Tanning beds and other sources of ultraviolet radiation have been moved into the top cancer risk category. Tanning beds have been deemed as "probable carcinogens" for years. In a new study, they found that the risk of skin cancer increases by 75 percent when people start using tanning beds before the age of 30. Scientists found that ultraviolet radiation of all kinds caused mutations on mice in the study. Ultraviolet radiation has been put on the list of definite cause of cancer alongside tobacco. In Britain, melanoma is now the leading cancer in women in their 20's. Normally melanoma is most common in people over 75.
