Hospital Administrators Talk of Nursing Shortage
Hospital Administrators admit that the country is suffering from a shortage of healthcare staff, with 89% recruiting nurses. On the rating scale, the overwhelming majority rated nurse recruiting as either "extremely difficult and challenging" or "somewhat difficult and challenging." When looking for nurses, they mainly would like those with Baccalaureate training, however, some still search for those with two year associate degrees. Some seem to take whatever they can get - even admitting to "hire every nurse who submits and application." They do not see this serious shortage problem improving anytime soon.
