Miss. hospitals cope amid nurse shortage
In northeast Mississippi, hospitals and nursing schools are finding ways to fight off the nursing shortage. So far, the Mississippi Legislature has helped by approving a $6,000 pay increase for nursing faculty and NMMC hosts several progams for students. Graduate nurses have also been aggressively recruited by hospitals in the area.
