NCSBN Enhances Online Nursing Licensure Verification
The National council of State Boards of Nursing unveiled a new, enhanced license verification web site on Nursys.com. It allows employers and the general public to check the licensure of any nurse. Nurses can also verify their licenses by completing the Nursys verification for $30.00 per license type, per state board of nursing where the nurse is applying. The nursing licenses become available immediately. Nursys.com gets its information straight from the state boards of nursing. Nursys.com generates a detailed report of nurses which includes the nurse's name, jurisdiction, license type, license number, license status, expiration date, and any discipline against the licenses. The new website is means to help employers with the hiring process and protect patients.
