2008 Ernest Amory Codman Award application and new website
The Joint Commission’s 2008 Ernest Amory Codman Award application is now available. This year, the innovation criterion has been elevated and now garners 20 percent of the weight of the application scoring. This criterion is intended to encourage new thinking and new approaches to improving the safety and quality of care delivery. The Codman Award is the first national health care award that was designed to recognize excellence in performance measurement. Award recipients receive a specially designed award, national recognition and the opportunity to share their achievements at The Joint Commission’s Annual Conference in Chicago in Spring 2009.
