NDH hosts a Healthy Heart Lecture
Northern Dutchess Hospital is pleased to offer a Heart Healthy Lecture and Luncheon on Tuesday, February 26th from noon to 2:00 p.m. in recognition of national American Heart Month. The event will feature Dr. Douglas Kroll, Cardiologist, and Roufia Payman, DT, CDN, Director of Nutritional Counseling, discussing preventative heart health tips and easy ways to achieve a heart healthy diet. Ms. Payman will choose the menu based upon the theme of the event. Nicole Scowcroft of the NDH Fitness Center will also speak about the NDH Cardiac Rehabilitation program and the Fitness Center programs.

Medtronics, a world leader in medical technology, is sponsoring the luncheon. The company offers products, therapies and services focused on coronary artery, vascular, and structural heart disease.

The event will take place in the Northern Dutchess Hospital Cafeteria conference room. Registration is required and there is limited space available. To register, call 1-877-729-2444.

Northern Dutchess Hospital’s Cardiac Rehabilitation Program is an outpatient rehabilitation program that is rehabilitative, preventative and educational. The program has been designed to assist anyone who has experienced a heart attack, had open heart surgery or angioplasty, or who has high blood pressure and other health risk factors. A physician’s referral is required.

Northern Dutchess Hospital, a Health Quest affiliate, is a 68-bed, acute care hospital located in Rhinebeck, NY. The Health Quest system includes Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie and Putnam Hospital Center in Carmel.
