Nursing Resumes
With today's economy, everyone is trying to make their professional qualifications stand out. The following are some nursing resume tips to help you land a job:
-State your objective as serving in this field for people service.
-Your job objective plays an important role in your resume. Mention the clear objective in two to three lines explaining your zeal to nurse the needy.
-Specify your outstanding skills summary and certifications in your nursing resume.
-Include your outstanding qualifications, statements of your goals, your level of experience and your area of specialty. Use polite but professional language.
-Include your detailed list of your nursing experience.
-Mention in detail the roles and responsibilities that will give an excellent idea of how well you are matched for the applied job. Specify your areas of specialization and proficiencies in a bulleted list. Try to present yourself as you are.
-Mention the highlights and contributions you have made in your previous job.
-Specify any boards or committees that you served on, helping in launching new facilities or services, train or orient new employees and many more. List your contributions that will show your commitment to your job.
-Clearly list down your qualification.
-Include academic hours, scholarships and any other type of education that you have had. Your certifications and awards will be one of the key things that you need to include in a nursing resume. Also specify your state license number in your resume.

Use keywords that are related to your profession in your nursing resume. Know completely about the job requirements and mention them as skills in your resume. Know your own qualifications and how they relate to the position, review your past achievements and describe your work experience in detail. You can specify the words like pediatric, oncology, long term care and ICU/ER nursing as keywords in your nurse resume.

Look for spelling and grammatical errors. Once you have proofread it yourself and corrected any errors that you have found, have a friend or family member proofread it. Do not use colored paper or paper with cute logos or pictures in your resume.
